Members of Rihanna’s #Navy will be happy with this news as will anyone wondering what to buy any of her diehard fans for Christmas this year. The singer’s full discography — yes, all eight studio albums — will be releasing on vinyl very soon. That’s right, folks. No more bootlegs.
The new pressing will be the first time five of the LPs have ever been released on vinyl and the full box set will be pressed to double vinyl minus 2011’s Talk That Talk. The package is an ultimate for diehards because along with the albums comes a 186-page hard cover book filled with oversized reproductions of the liner notes that accompanied each CD release. The set also comes in “a high-gloss slipcase with her foil-stamped signature” and will also include a signed slipmat, per Vinyl Factory. The UK-based vinyl site doesn’t have any info on when the set will be released, but right around the holidays is an easy guess — it’s a perfect gift for the RiRi fan in your life.
The new release means no more settling for bootleg pressings at Urban Outfitters or buying from random eBay sellers for fans. It also marks the second time RiRi’s released her work to vinyl after Anti- issued on wax earlier this year. Although no specific pricing or release info has been mentioned, the set would be perfect as a gift this holiday season so let’s hope more details surface soon.
