Movie Power Rankings: James Bond returns to No. 1

Bond is back. With rumors persisting that “Skyfall” director Sam Mendes will return to the director’s chair after all, Bond 24 takes the top spot this week. Despite rumors that Christopher Nolan (“The Dark Knight”) and Nicolas Winding Refn (“Drive”) were interested, Mendes is reportedly in talks with Sony Pictures and MGM about returning to the franchise. His “Skyfall” was the biggest hit of the series, and also earned widespread critical approval. Will lightning strike twice?
