Despite the fact that Gambit was postponed yet again, Channing Tatum is still coming out on top. Good old C-Tates announced on Wednesday night that he would be joining the cast of Kingsman 2: The Golden Circle, which is shaping up to have one of the best casts in recent memory. There is no word yet on who Tatum will be playing, but one can assume from his poster that he’ll have a Southern drawl, as the Kingsman team will be heading to America in the sequel. Honestly, the idea of Channing Tatum and Coling Firth (potentially!) sharing screen time is the most delightful thing that I can imagine.
According to Variety, Elton John is also set to play a part in The Golden Circle. Whether he will be playing himself or some other character is yet to be announced. However, if he is playing himself, surely they can add a musical number for him to perform while Tatum does his Tatum thing and dances away with fans’ hearts.
Between this and the 23 Jump Street/Men In Black crossover, it looks like Channing Tatum will continue to enjoy his spot on the A-list.
