Everything We Know (And Want To Know) About ‘Wonder Woman’ So Far

Fans of the DC Universe, and specifically of the Amazonian warrior Wonder Woman, only got a brief opportunity to appreciate her in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Her limited time in the movie was jam packed with reasons to love the character though – she did everything from make Batman look bad on the dance floor to kick bad guys to the curb with ease. Anybody who stuns in an evening gown and then turns around and takes guys out with a round house kick to the head is not somebody to be messed with. Besides Wonder Woman’s clear fighting prowess though, what do we really know about her and her past?

The major details are as such; Wonder Woman (AKA Diana Prince) was raised by other Amazonian warriors on Themiscyra, an idyllic and war-free island where these women went to when they got sick of dealing with mankind and our ridiculous wars all the time. If only every woman had the chance to peace out to a beautiful island when they got sick of mankind. The movie that Wonder Woman gets to herself will have “moments of humor” even though it’s a part of the current DC Cinematic Universe, which means Gal Gadot might get to crack a smile once or twice in the next go-round. At one point, Wonder Woman walked away from everything she knew because she was appalled at the way mankind was behaving with all the wars and destruction.

Now, she’s back and ready for more action. But why is she back? And what went down on that island to make her the amazing hero she is? More facts will come through eventually, but what fans are working with now is enough to get everyone excited for when the movie finally comes out and lets mere humans in on Diana’s full story.
