The Gaslight Anthem Announces A Summer Reunion Tour For Their Modern Classic, ‘The ’59 Sound’

It’s only been three years since The Gaslight Anthem announced a hiatus, but the fact that their recently announced reunion has already sparked such excitement and interest speaks to the benefits that going away can bring. It also helps that their most beloved album, The ’59 Sound, is turning ten, giving reason for the band to bring their tattoed knuckles, leather jacket-wearing brand of rock and roll to fans in both Europe and the US.

In addition to an already announced appearance at Governors Ball in NYC, the band has scheduled appearances in Washinton DC, Chicago, and Toronto. Those North American shows bookend a more extensive European run, which will include stops in England, Ireland, The Netherlands, and Germany. The tour lasts from Memorial Day through to August, and though the American dates are fairly limited, there is reason to hope that more stops could be added on.
