This is really happening, eh? We’ve hit multiple nights of the reformed “classic” lineup of Guns N’ Roses performing together and the planet hasn’t caved in on itself. How wild is that? Someone must have several genies and a few monkey paws on retainer.
Night two of Guns N’ Roses playing Sin City offered up more thrills, chills and feelings like you’re on pills. One of the treats served up at Saturday night’s gig at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena was a Sebastian Bach assisted rendition of “My Michelle.” With Axl Rose enjoying the regal majesty of Dave Grohl’s custom injured rock dude throne (no Nirvana-tied bad blood there), his frequent touring partner Bach prowled the stage during this tag-team performance. Slash and Duff McKagan continue to show nothing in the way of ring rust with GNR tunes and a lovely time was had by all.
“I think I speak for Las Vegas when I say one thing: Thank you for making us so f*cking happy, Guns N’ Roses,” gushed the former Skid Row frontman before launching into the Appetite For Destruction track.
DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOU ARE? YOU’RE IN THE JUNGLE, BABY! YOU’RE GONNA GET SOME LOVING COMPLIMENTS FROM A PEER!
Next up for GNR is the headliner slot at this year’s go-around of Coachella. 2016 is a strange beast and we’re cool with that.
