Trap Meets EDM As Migos And Marshmello Release Their ‘Bright’ Soundtrack Collaboration ‘Danger’

In Will Smith’s upcoming Netflix movie Bright, he’s a cop with an orc partner in a strange alternate version of Earth. Even weird than that is all the unlikely collaborations the film’s soundtrack is set to feature: Pairings include ASAP Rocky and Tom Morello, DRAM and Neil Young, and Steve Aoki and Lil Uzi Vert. Bright: The Album drops on December 15th, but ahead of that, the joint track by Migos and Marshmello, “Danger,” just premiered on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 Apple Radio show.

Quavo hopped on Facetime to chat with Lowe about working with Marshmello on the track, saying that he was impressed by the producer’s versatility:

“They said they needed danger on the track, you know. They got the hottest producer, Marshmello. They got the hottest rappers in the world, Migos. […] He go crazy. The man got a whole EDM world, but he still knows how to bring that trap sound. He still knows how to put that good 808, the one that we need, the one that we like to use. He can come right in and blend right in.”

Bright: The Album will be available on December 15th, and is available for pre-order. Learn more about the soundtrack and watch the film’s trailer here, and watch the video for “Bright” above.
