One Direction are about to go on an “extended hiatus,” which should last until their solo careers go bust and they need to make some quick money. The breakup isn’t a messy one, though. They’re still scheduled to perform during New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, and last night, the boys stopped by The Late Late Show for some Carpool Karaoke. With host James Corden filling in for Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, and Louis Tomlinson, all of whom could be referred to as The One with the Hair, sang their greatest hits, including “What Makes You Beautiful,” “Story of My Life,” “Best Night Ever,” and “Drag Me Down,” from 2015’s super-successful Made in the A.M.
Corden also used driving around Los Angeles with the world’s most popular boy band (they were even followed by a creepy fan in a car as the segment was being filmed) as an opportunity to play Sleep With, Marry, Cruise. “One person you’ve got to go on a cruise for a year, sharing a room,” he explained. “You spend every minute of every day with them, but you do not sleep with them. One of them you marry, and one of them you just sleep with.”
Niall Horan, who’s rumored to be in a relationship with Selena Gomez, was given three options: Demi Lovato, Tina Fey, and Gomez, of course. He’d sleep with Fey, go on a cruise with Lovato, and marry Gomez. Good call, man, or you and the pop princess would be on an “extended hiatus,” too.
