We’ve gone round and round with this argument more times than we care to remember. But the fact is people who try to call the time of death for rock music are always wrong. These negligent musical coroners are willfully missing the glittery greatness of a band like PWR BTTM or the righteous fury of groups like Bully and Downtown Boys because they don’t fit their narrow classic-rock-radio-indebted view of the genre. But even if we’ll never convince the doomsayers to open their ears a little, we can point them in the direction of Sheer Mag to shut them up for a second.
Their latest single “Just Can’t Get Enough” is a perfect primer on the sort of throwback, fist-pumping rawk that the Philly band excels at. Even better for fans of the sound, “Enough” is merely the first taste of the band’s debut album Need To Feel Your Love which is due out July 14.
