This ‘Wonder Woman’ Mash Up Reimagines Pop Stars As Superheroes

We are less than a week out from the premiere of Wonder Woman and the results are in: DC Films has a bona fide hit on their hands. Both critics and fans who were able to snag tickets to special screenings have nothing to good things to say. A rare feat for a superhero film to pull off. Especially one from DC and Warner Bros.

Buoyed by this good news, it’s time to celebrate! And what better way than with a mash-up music video from Nerdist? Utilizing the same high production values that sent both “Belle and Boujee” and “The Spidey Life” into the viral stratosphere, their latest effort mixes Wonder Woman with half a dozen girl-power anthems from the 1960s through modern day. Everything from Nancy Sinatra’s “These Boots Are Made For Walkin’” to Beyonce’s “Run The World (Girls)” get a Themyscira make-over. Each decade is represented by one of Princess Diana’s iconic costumes integrated with iconic moments from the music videos of each song. You might not have known you needed to see Whitney Houston or Britney Spears as Wonder Woman, but now you won’t be able to imagine a world where they aren’t. Plus, the audio will have you singing for the rest of the day.
