Demba Ba was just running along when he had what seemed to be an innocuous collision that resulted in his lower leg snapping. The Shanghai Shenhua player got tangled with Sun Xian of Shanghai SIPG during a Chinese Super League match when Ba’s leg just gives out.
“It could end his professional career,” said Shenhua coach Gregorio Manzano in a BBC report.
The 31-year-old Ba joined the Chinese league last year after spending his career playing in the Premier League.
