Ronda Rousey Gets Some Very Specific, Custom Dating Tips From ‘MAD Magazine’

Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey hasn’t had a fight since losing her belt to Holly Holm back in November. Rousey actually had knee surgery on Wednesday that may very well keep her out of action for the remainder of 2016. But have no fear: MAD Magazine has arrived to give Rousey some advice on how to spend her free time while she’s recuperating.

The next issue of MAD — which hits newsstands on June 14 and will be available digitally on June 3 — features a two-page spread of gags entitled “Dating Tips for Ronda Rousey,” written by Mark Morse and illustrated by Anton Emdin. Check it out below and open it in a new tab for a better view.

Rousey is quite notably — much to her chagrin, I’m sure — dating fellow fighter Travis Browne, so I don’t think many of these tips will really apply, specifically the awkwardness of a first date. But I am a big fan of the spread pointing out how fragile male egos can be. Nowhere is this more pronounced than in the world of cage fighting.

Best of luck on your recuperation, Ronda. You now have plenty of food for thought. Or, at the very least, you can say that you’ve been officially lampooned by MAD Magazine. I think there are precious few MMA fighters that can make that same claim. I think that’s the universal sign that you’ve officially made it.
