First Trailer for American ‘Top Gear’

As reported in April, History Channel’s fall lineup will include an Americanized version of the popular BBC2 show “Top Gear” (something NBC toyed with and passed on two years ago). To refresh your memory:

History’s “Gear” will be hosted by comedian and “Rescue Me” co-star Adam Ferrara, stunt driver Tanner Foust and racing analyst Rutledge Wood.

The first trailer for the show is below. It looks neither terrible nor particularly good. Frankly, it kind of bothers me that the show is hosted by three white dudes. If the Fast and Furious movies have taught me anything, it’s that car enthusiasts cross all racial boundaries. In other words, this show should be hosted by Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, and Tyrese Gibson. Well, okay: not Paul Walker. That guy can barely speak.
