The Swamp Donkeys are a wonderfully named New Orleans-based group that specialize in “traditional jazz, blues, jass originals, vaudeville, modern jazz adaptations, and many other jazz and New Orleans-derived styles,” including lively renditions of theme songs from very violent HBO series. Have a listen to their recent Game of Thrones theme cover (dedicated to a very special dead someone), and try to imagine Hodor Hodor’ing a pot of GUMBO and Melisandre collecting beads. “TITS!”
