Yesterday, NBC announced that it would be adding “Community” to its fall slate.  Starring Joel McHale (“The Soup”), Chevy Chase, John Oliver (“The Daily Show”), and some other people you haven’t heard of, “Community” is about:

…a band of misfits, at the center of which is a fast-talkin’ lawyer whose degree has been revoked (McHale). They form a study group and, in “Breakfast Club” fashion, end up learning a lot more about themselves than they do about their course work.

From Emmy Award-winning directors Joe and Anthony Russo (Arrested Development) comes a smart comedy about higher education…and lower expectations. [NBC]

After watching the featurette above, I’m actually kinda looking forward to watching this.  Granted, this is partly due to my “Soup” fandom (McHale will pull double-duty, btw), but it seems like this is actually well-written and -acted.  Even Chevy Chase, who’s done nothing but crap for the last 20 years, looks like he’s been smartly cast as a creepy perv.  Believe me, I think I know a little somethin’ about how creepy pervs behave.  And I’ve got the restraining orders to prove it.
