Let’s Liveblog Tonight’s Geeky TV: ‘Gotham’ Rolls Out A Scarecrow

Gotham gets a bit more Batman-esque tonight, debuting a proto-Scarecrow as a new villain. Who, uh, has a pet pig? Anyway, we’re liveblogging that, but there’s far more tonight if you’re looking for geeky TV.

All times are Eastern.

8pm

Gotham, Fox: Gotham has been a lot of fun, but honestly, the show needs to trim back the cast a bit. Last week’s episode was at its most compelling when Gordon was forced to make a moral compromise, and the unfolding mob drama has easily been the driver of the show. Really, cut it back to that, maybe have Alfred occasionally punch people in a cameo, and we’ve got a great series.

The Originals, The CW: Once again, I have no idea what’s going on in this show, but the previews sure are entertaining. Who leaves their door open to chop vegetables?

9pm

Sleepy Hollow, Fox: This show is wrapping up this month after a rough second season, and hopefully it gets a third; it’s getting its legs back under it. Also, this week’s episode has Jonathan Schaech! Remember him?

The Eye, Syfy: The remake, it appears. Syfy should really just start running uncut foreign horror and SF movies; it’d at least be interesting.

Remember, we’ll be liveblogging Gotham tonight at 8pm EST. Join us, won’t you?
