Here’s What We Know About Nancy Grace’s Unlikely New Cooking Series

Do you consider yourself a foodie but exclusively for things made by a lady who shouts about brutal homicides for a living on HLN? If so, we have some exciting news for you, you weirdo! Nancy Grace has somehow managed to get her own cooking series.

No, that’s not a series of really confusing typos in a row. NANCY GRACE HAS HER OWN COOKING SHOW.

Starting on Monday, Cooking with Nancy Grace will air on HLNTV.com. This six episode offering promises a peek into Nancy’s personal life and her love of Crock-Pots, plus there’s the promise of learning Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burress’ baked spaghetti recipe. Here’s how Vanity Fair sums up the series:

On the show, viewers see an entirely different side of Grace than the caricature of her that’s provided ample parody fodder for the likes of S.N.L., Law & Order, and the best-selling thriller Gone Girl. On her cooking show (which, O.K., does sound like the premise of an S.N.L. skit) she jokes about mixing two store-bought pasta sauces together and counting that as “from scratch.” A casserole made with layers of pasta, cheese, and those two sauces uses ground turkey instead of beef because that’s the healthier option.

Feel the electricity!

The official description of the show from HLN promises “snack hacks.” Intriguing!

Go inside Nancy Grace’s Kitchen as TV’s toughest prosecutor creates kid friendly meals that are simple and delicious. After school “snack hacks”, breakfast to-go, crockpot crowd pleasers and some celebrity surprises are all on the menu when you are cooking with Nancy.

Everybody knows the best celebrity surprises involve crockpots. That’s what made Sid Caesar’s Stewin’ With The Greats such a success.
