There Ain’t No Party Like A ’30 Rock’ Wrap Party Because A ’30 Rock’ Wrap Party Is Sad

Barring a production strike by NBC mainstays Lorne Michaels, Matthew Perry, Jerry Orbach’s corpse, and that guy on Revolution, demanding more Liz Lemon, and even then I’m not sure they’d get what they want, 30 Rock will air its series finale on January 31, 2013, and the Peacock will be drearier place without it. At least until Community returns exactly one week later, at which point our love of Alison Brie, a grown man wearing dresses, and a monkey named after boobs will supersede our need for more redneck Kenneth jokes.

We, as TV viewers, are fickle bastards.

Anyway, Kevin “Dot Com” Brown tweeted photos from 30 Rock‘s wrap party and final day on set (yesterday), including the group shot above. I have no idea who most of those people are, but I do like Lutz’s smooth “yup, totally not staring at Cerie in her form-fitting pink dress” pose. Also, the only three people looking at the camera are three black guys, a premise that Tina Fey could spin into comedy gold, but now we’ll never know.

And elsewhere…

(That’s Tina with her daughter)
