What’s On Tonight: ‘Bones’ Ends And ‘BoJack Horseman’ Returns

BoJack Horseman (Netflix) – Arguably the best animated comedy on television right now, BoJack Horseman returns for a third season in the middle of the night tonight, and if you were worried it couldn’t get darker (or funnier) after its stellar second season … well, don’t be. The crew may be in a better place – BoJack’s fielding Oscar buzz, Princess Carolyn is running her successful talent agency, even Todd’s got some stuff going on – but there’s still plenty of opportunity for our four-legged, long-nosed hero to screw things up (and make us laugh).

Bones (Fox, 8:00 p.m.) – Season 11 ends as the team continues hunting the Puppeteer, a serial killer who turns his victims into marionettes. Meanwhile, Brennan’s still busy beating herself up after failing to catch the creepy killer due to her brief retirement.

BattleBots (ABC, 8:00 p.m.) – Part two of the Round of 32 sees the NFL’s Vernon Davis returning to judge as 32 teams battle to make it out of qualifiers.

Spartan: Ultimate Team Challenge (NBC, 8:00 p.m.) – Six teams return to tackle the series’ toughest course to date during tonight’s season finale.

Syfy Presents Live From Comic-Con (Syfy, 8:00 p.m.) – Still bummed about not making it to San Diego this year? Well, Syfy is here to cure your Comic-Con FOMO with a special that goes behind the scenes of the nerd fest. Expect lots of celebrity interviews, backstage access and footage from the event

Beauty and the Beast (CW, 9:00 p.m.) – Cat tries to prove to DHS that she’s still an asset as Vincent goes undercover with an assassin.

Big Brother (CBS, 9:00 p.m.) – It’s time to bid a fond farewell to another houseguest.

Greatest Hits (ABC, 9:00 p.m.) – We’re traveling back to the early ’90s tonight. Get ready to jam out to some Boyz II Men, En Vogue, Montell Jordan, Seal and a duet by Bonnie Raitt and Andra Day.

Home Free (Fox, 9:00 p.m.) – The final four contestants run into some trouble and must decide whether to work together to get the problem solved or go it alone and risk not completing their task.

Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll (FX, 10:00 p.m.) – Gigi gives Flash mixed signals; Ava readies for her solo debut; and Bam and Rehab have a meeting with Campbell Scott.
