Bob Dullam, a props artist from Michigan, deserves some props himself  — *lifts megaphone, waits for feedback to subside, clears throat* SEE WHAT I DID THERE? — for creating this all-custom Tumbler.  Though he had no car-building experience when he started, he’s managed to build a functioning 1.8 metric ton Batmobile which isn’t street legal but that’s totally intentional because Batman doesn’t need your laws.

Growl this car’s specs into my ear sexily, Gizmag:

  • Engine: 350 V8 with four-barrel carburetor
  • Transmission: 3-speed turbo
  • Top speed: 150mph (241km/h)
  • Body panels: Epoxy resin reinforced with fiberglass mat
  • Tires: 44-inch Super Swampers (rear)
  • Steering: Rack and pinion power steering via detachable aviator style pistol-grip steering device
  • Dimensions: 15’L x 9’W x 5.5’H (4.5 x 8 x 1.7 meters)
  • Visibility: Round-vehicle video cameras
  • Production cost: Approximately US$50,000 to $100,000

Dullam says he’s even had defense contractors asking him to use their transparent aluminum for the windows, because if there’s one thing that gets a military man to listen to a defense contractor’s pitch, it’s hearing that the product has been endorsed by the God Damn Batman. (It’s in all capitals because that’s his official title. He ranks above the president.)
