Get Nostalgic With Our Favorite Food And Travel Vines

In case you haven’t heard, Twitter has decided drop the curtain on Vine today. We’ll wait here why you take your six seconds of silence to commemorate its passing into the pantheon of dead apps.

If you’re feeling all misty-eyed and sentimental, we put together a short list of some of our favorite food and travel Vines from the past three years. Below are some of the high water marks that got us hungry for food and exploration. Will they be missed with rise of Twitter Moments and Instagram’s Your Story? Maybe? Time will tell. Let’s just hope all those Vine celebrities, Vinlebrities (?) made it over to YouTube before their spot blew up.

FOOD:

Food Vines made good use of short stop-motion animation to tell a story and flourished. Enjoy these cookie monsters, egg scramblers, and more.

TRAVEL:

Vine turned out to be a great way to send a digital postcard home to friends and family. It also turned out that six seconds was enough time to visually get a feel for a place.
