Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn Is ‘Weirdly Endearing And Fun’

A stand-out from Suicide Squad trailers and photos released so far has been Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn, a character Robbie thinks is the best, and who are we to disagree? Robbie revealed a bit more about how she views the character in a long interview with Vogue, during which she gave her interviewer one of her infamous free tattoos, and she didn’t even misspell it this time.

Says Robbie of Harley Quinn, “She doesn’t even have superpowers. She’s just a psychopath who runs around gleefully killing people — she finds joy in causing mayhem, which makes her weirdly endearing and fun to watch.”

This jibes with what Robbie’s said of the character in a previous interview, that she profiles people and uses their triggers to mess with them. She is a trained psychotherapist, after all (emphasis on “psycho”).

Robbie also revealed in the interview that she has “a morbid fascination with needles” and has given out piercings in addition to tattoos. If that doesn’t seem Harley Quinn-esque enough, we also learned she went to “circus school” at age eight and received something called a “trapeze certificate.” So if the Harley Quinn thing doesn’t work out, she could always join the Flying Graysons whoops they’re dead.
