Behold The Naked Glory Of Vince Wilfork’s 325-Pound ESPN ‘Body Issue’ Cover Shoot

Vince Wilfork is a big, proud man who doesn’t give a damn what you think.

That’s part of the reason the veteran nosetackle was willing to pose nude for ESPN’s latest edition of “The Body Issue,” in which he showed off all 325 glorious pounds of his body. One of main goals of the annual “Body Issue” is to examine top athletes of all shapes and sizes, and there’s no denying that Wilfork — however big he may be — has been one of the best defensive lineman in football over the past decade.

Heck, his massive frame is so impressive that they even gave him a cover!

God bless all the poor souls that have been tasked with trying to keep that man from scrambling after the football over the years. He is big, but he is certainly not fat.

A lot of people look at me as a big person. Some people consider me to be obese. Some people consider me fat and sloppy. But I think this shoot will give people a different look at what I am. Everybody knows that I have a big stomach, but I think sometimes that overshadows everything else on my body — from my calves to my back to my shoulders to my biceps, you name it. What people go to the gym and work for, I have. The only thing I don’t have that they got is six-packs. But I really don’t care about six-packs.

In his accompanying interview with ESPN, Wilfork talked about his weight and how he’s essentially been this big since his sophomore year in high school, which is pretty wild. Then again, the man loves himself some barbecue. He also mentioned that he plans on trying to shed some of the weight once he calls it career in the NFL.

With that being said, Wilfork told me in a discussion we had a few weeks ago that he feels great and his body isn’t telling him the end is near anytime soon.

If there’s anything we’ve learned lately, it’s that Wilfork has no shortage of confidence in his large frame.
