“Would you believe it if I said I missed you?” That’s Elektra (Elodie Yung) speaking, right before Daredevil scoffs out a quick, definitive, “No.” You don’t break into his house and then talk about trust.
Netflix is just killing it with the one liners and badass little vignettes in their promotions of Daredevil season two so far. The first teaser was moody as hell up in a church and the first full trailer had the Punisher (Jon Bernthal) dropping grizzled pronouncements all over the place (our favorite being “You know you’re one bad day away from being me?”). Then there were the little character pieces, like Daredevil struggling against time (and restraints) and Elektra gettin’ all stabby (as she does).
This second full trailer is finally giving us a lot more of Elektra, and reminding us this season is going to be as steamy as a grate in Hell’s Kitchen. They will probably also say the words “Hell’s Kitchen” a lot again this season. Do not drink a shot when they do. You will die.
Just when Matt thinks he is bringing order back to the city, new forces are rising in Hell’s Kitchen. Now the Man Without Fear must take on a new adversary in Frank Castle and face an old flame – Elektra Natchios.
Bigger problems emerge when Frank Castle, a man looking for vengeance, is reborn as The Punisher, a man who takes justice into his own hands in Matt’s neighborhood. Meanwhile, Matt must balance his duty to his community as a lawyer and his dangerous life as the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, facing a life-altering choice that forces him to truly understand what it means to be a hero.
