‘Game Of Thrones’ Fans Are Pretty Sure This Main Character Will Die In Season 7

Death is a given on Game of Thrones. It’s more surprising when a character isn’t stabbed in the back, or fed to his father. But the HBO series provided viewers with an extravagant number of deaths in season six, including Hodor, everyone in the Sept of Balor, and the hundreds of brave soldiers who lost their lives in the Battle of Bastards (Wun Wun!). Also, Ramsay. Good riddance.

Despite not even having a premiere date yet, fans are already making morbid predictions about season seven. According to Entertainment Weekly, Sports Betting Experts polled 10,000 Game of Thrones watchers on who they think will be the next main character to die. Thankfully, it’s not Jon Snow. Again.

Coming out on top with over 14% was Theon Greyjoy. Placing in second with 8% was Melisandre, followed by Davos Seaworth and Jorah Mormont. Appearing to be safe, at least in the minds of those polled, are Bran Stark, Daenerys Targaryen, and Jon Snow. (Via)

As if Reek hasn’t already suffered enough… Actually, scratch that: Theon shouldn’t die. That’s the easy way out; he deserves to suffer. Theon did a lot of very bad things, and while it’s likely this season will be his redemption arc, that seems unfair to the innocent farm boys he burned. Plus, he hit on his sister that one time, which is just gross. He’s no better than a Lannister.

(That was uncalled for. I’m sorry.)

Meanwhile, the poll also reveals that Arya’s first kill of the season will be Thoros of Myr, who’s traveling north with The Hound and Beric Dondarrion, and the “religion of the final ruler of the Seven Kingdoms” will be Valyrian.

So… not the Sand Snakes. Got it.
