Getting to Europe has never been easier. Currently, TAP Portugal is running a great deal on one-way flights from New York and Boston to cities across Europe. You’ll need to fly between January and September of next year, which is perfect timing if you want to take a quick trip to Europe after New Year’s.

Our recommendation is to post up in Santa Rosa at the Vintner’s Inn. The newly renovated hotel has a very “wine country” vibe with well-appointed and huge rooms that look out onto rows of grapes. The on-sight restaurant highlights local and seasonal foods filtered through pan-European cuisine. Then, of course, the whole of Sonoma wine country is right at your door. Just make sure you work your way back to your hotel room as you spend the day wine tasting.
