Holt said living in the country — where unwanted animals are most often dumped — has made him see the need for more spaying and neutering and, in general, more responsible pet owners.
"My wife and I have a personal love of animals," he said. "We always know it's spring when we see litters of cats and dogs on our road. And we either end up keeping them or we have a vet that will help us find them homes."
As an act of good faith, Holt had Tony Parker neutered in an elegant ceremony in France this summer.
