Kayak Created A SFW Mode So That You Can Plan Vacations In The Office

We all do personal stuff at the office. We know we shouldn’t, of course, but we do. Fortunately, if you’re planning a desperately needed vacation, or need to check weekend airfare, Kayak has decided to make it a little easier with a work mode that disguises your flight hunting.

Just go to their Work site and you’ll get Kayak, but resembling a spreadsheet straight from Google Sheets. It won’t fool anybody looking closely, of course, but it’s fairly convincing from a distance and it beats hitting the Boss Button every time you hear footsteps near your cube. See for yourself:

Also, it’s a nice witty touch that the tabs on the bottom bring up other travel methods, although the fussier part of us wants to see the numbers actually in the cells to sell this is a worksheet, but hey, web design is a tricky business. Of course, ideally you’d have the time to do this on your own, or just do it on your lunch break. But if Friday is slow, or you simply need to take a moment to imagine being on a beach somewhere, it’s hard to knock a site that lets you idle without getting caught.
