Trump Supporters Got A Yuuuge Dose Of Their Own Medicine When A Restaurant Refused To Serve Them

We don’t doubt that being a Trump supporter is hungry work, but the followers of Trump should take heed of the story of the Riggs’ family. After working up an appetite cheering at a series of empty, nonsensical slogans a Trump rally, the Virginia clan found that not every restaurant is willing to serve the #MAGA crowd.

When the Riggs’ stopped in at the fast food chain Cook Out, they found that the employees were less than enthusiastic about feeding the presumptive GOP nominee’s supporters. Spotting their pro-Trump gear, the workers initially argued over who was going to serve the family.

“As soon as we got to the window, it was ‘Oh hell no, I’m not serving them,'” Shannon Riggs told Richmond CBS affiliate WTVR. “They kind of shuffled back and forth with three people to take our order. Finally, someone took our order. Everybody was laughing, giggling, and they went and got the people from the back.”

Riggs’ cousin Lauren Wolfrey said the treatment was worse than what they saw at the Trump rally.

“Even the protesters that were there…peacefully protested,” she said. “But them at the Cook Out, they made it known that they did not want to serve us.”

The 16-year-old supporter of the flag-hugger who is looking to ban Muslim immigrants (and immigrants from literally every country in the world) said that she was shocked to experience discrimination.

“Once you witness [discrimination] first hand, it’s a totally different experience,” Wolfrey said. “I was in a state of shock.”

If irony could be weaponized, this would be our Manhattan Project. Cook Out responded to the incident saying that they are a “politically neutral company” and that the situation “has been resolved.”
