For better or for worse, technology appears to be evolving at the speed of light. One of the many positives of this rapid change is the ability to be entertained from multiple areas, including the .gif, compressed image files.
While there were so many to choose from, here are the ten funniest GIFs from the 2013-2014 NBA regular season:

10. Kevin Durant is quite good at basketball
For the first time in his career, Durant will most likely win this season’s Most Valuable Player award. He’s put up huge numbers throughout the year and is seemingly unstoppable when it comes to scoring the basketball. In the above GIF, the Atlanta Hawks sent three defenders at him, yet he still managed to drain the jumper.

9. Wale should stick to music
In February, we may have witnessed one of the worst passes of all-time at the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game. Late in the first quarter, rapper Wale was dribbling atop the key and attempted to simply dish the ball off to his teammate, when, inexplicably, the ball ended up nowhere near the intended target.

8. Deron Williams sinks three-pointer, Carmelo Anthony isn’t happy
In what has been an embarrassing year for the New York Knicks, this GIF just about sums it up. With the defense nowhere near Deron Williams, he made the easy three-pointer and with seemingly perfect timing, the camera zooms in on ‘Melo, who is clearly disappointed and even disgusted by his team’s lack of defense.

7. LeBron James flops. And then flops again
The league has certainly made strides in recent years in an attempt to prevent flopping, but it is still prevalent on a nightly basis. One of the NBA’s most notorious floppers is LeBron James, looking for any advantage he can get on the court. While it is clear Greg Monroe made contact with James, it is also clear just how much he embellished it.

6. Rasheed Wallace celebrates on the bench
While he is no longer a player, ‘Sheed still possesses the same passion as an assistant coach. After a breakaway and-one dunk from Andre Drummond against the Atlanta Hawks on February 21, Wallace exuberantly celebrated with his players on the bench. It was certainly reminiscent of his days in uniform.
5. Michelle Obama videobombs Miami Heat players in the White House
Videobombs have become the norm during Heat interviews, but who would have ever thought that the First Lady would join in on the fun? On Janaury 21, Miami visited the White House as defending NBA champions and as part of Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move” campaign, she threw down a vicious dunk over Dwyane Wade, Ray Allen and coach Erik Spoelstra, with an assist from LeBron James.
4. Manu Ginobili’s sneaker malfunction
Manu Ginobli literally played out of his sneakers. In a game against the Detroit Pistons on February 26, the San Antonio Spurs guard was attempting to guard Rodney Stuckey when his sneaker literally exploded. It was certainly a rare sight to see and one that will most likely stick in our heads for a while.
3. Paul George and John Wall break out the Nae Nae
While NBA All-Star Weekend is filled with highlights galore, some of the most memorable pieces come away from the actual events. After John Wall’s huge jam in the Slam Dunk Contest, which sealed the deal for himself and the Eastern Conference, he immediately celebrated by running over to Paul George and having some fun with the Nae Nae dance.

2. Nick Young takes on the Phoenix Suns
Nick Young–otherwise known as Swaggy P–had his most memorable season in the NBA this year. From his (somewhat) solid play to his outlandish statements to his premature celebrations, it’s been a fun year, but one of his most hilarious moments may have come away from the ball.
Upset by a hard foul from Suns rookie Alex Len, Young immediately rose from the court and began shouting, pushing and punching multiple members of the Phoenix roster. Unfortunately for Young, there isn’t a whole lot of purple and gold to help him out.
1. Andrea Bargnani’s epic dunk-fail
The Knicks traded for Andrea Bargnani last summer to provide them with an offensive boost, but the plan clearly didn’t work out. New York finished 18 wins behind their season total from last year and played embarrassing basketball through much of the season.
On January 22, during a game against the Philadelphia 76ers, Bargnani drove into the lane and leaped for a dunk. The 28-year-old, however, did not come anywhere close to slamming home the ball, and instead fell hard to the ground and ended up tearing a ligament in his left elbow. While the injury is no laughing matter, the play itself is absolutely hilarious and a reminder of the Knicks’ season that was.
