Every year. Every damn year. Us non-Southern-Californians forget about Coachella for 364 days out of the year, and then this day comes along. The day when you remember that everything you’ve ever wanted out of music and togetherness existed in one place for two weekends in a row. And you weren’t there. Every band or artist that you’ve ever heard and thought, “Man, they’d be a blast to see live…” yeah, they were there. And you know what? They were there in some fashion that you’d never imagine them performing. They were pushing the limits of their showmanship in an attempt to seem worthy of sharing the same stage that the remaining members of N.W.A. just walked off of.
Luckily for you and everyone else who dropped the festival ball this year, all is not lost. Check out the photos we’ve collected. The lights, the sequin-dresses, Snoop Dogg’s robe. Soak it all in. Look at it all and imagine what it must’ve been like to see it in person. But remember, it’s all here and it’s here to inspire some action. Start saving now for next year’s tickets because every artist you want to see will probably be there in a reunited, hologram-laden, mix-and-match kind of way.
