Our ‘Cheap Flights’ This Week Include Thanksgiving Deals & December Discounts

We’re only a week out from Thanksgiving and chances for a great, cheap flight deal are waning quickly. Either you have your ticket at this point… or you don’t. With the holiday season rapidly approaching, now is the time to start looking for December bargains as well. As always, we’ve got your back in finding the best flight deals.

Below are some of the best deals right now. That means it’s time to strike while the iron is scorching hot and buy that ticket. Some of these fares will only exist for the day or even a couple hours. So now is the moment. Be spontaneous! Live a little!

JET BLUE

We pointed out last week that the best time to fly around Thanksgiving is on the day itself and fly back on the following Tuesday. That’s still ringing true as of today. Right now, Jet Blue has a lot of routes that are half price to fly on Thanksgiving Thursday instead of Wednesday and the following Tuesday is basically one-quarter the price of flying home on Sunday.

If you can make those travel dates happen, you’ll be ahead of the holiday travel curve.

ERROR FARES OF THE WEEK

Error fares are always tricky. It’s good to keep in mind that the airline can always cancel a paid for error fare. So plan accordingly. That being said, there’s a great deal right now from Copenhagen to New York for $260 round trip and vice versa.

The travel dates are from January until June 2018 and can be booked through KLM via MOMONDO.

SECRET FLYING DEALS OF THE WEEK

Are you keeping track of Secret Flying Deals? You should be. There are some great deals floating around right now. Miami to Brussels is clocking in at $302 roundtrip. Baltimore to Hawaii is only $539 roundtrip. And a roundtrip from Seattle to Madrid can be snagged right now for $366 roundtrip. What are you waiting for?

KAYAK

Okay, maybe you already have your Thanksgiving travel sorted. It’s also not a bad time to start looking into that Christmas getaway. This a great way to use Kayak Explore. Set your home city and see where’s cheapest. Buy that ticket.

Below are some samples. If you’re flying from Denver, there are loads of cheap tickets all over America for around $40-$90 for roundtrips. Likewise, flights to Europe from the east coast are as low as $340 roundtrip (to Copenhagen no less). And flights to Asia from the west coast are low as $350-$450 for a smattering of sunny SE Asian paradises.

NORWEGIAN

Norwegian always has some great deals between America and Europe. But if you’re looking for a great way to escape the cold instead of embrace it, then their flights down to the French Caribbean are a steal. You can still escape this month to an island paradise for $79 each way.

Or, wait until December or January and book flights for $59 each way. That’s a small price to pay for a winter break in paradise.

BRITISH AIRWAYS

British Airways has everything a budget airline doesn’t on long-haul flights: free seats, free luggage, free meals, booze, and straight up more room. As always, you get what you pay for. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t wait for sales to get it.

Right now, British has a sale on to their hub in London from the US. Flights are hovering around the $500 roundtrip point for the next year with the exception of the high season next summer. Still, 500 bucks to get to London and back on an airline where you won’t get nickel-and-dimed is a great price.

SKYSCANNER DEALS

And, if you scroll down further on the Skyscanner page, you’ll find deals around the world in case you want to straight up escape the holiday season hubbub.
