Genius, monster, fulfiller of dreams — these are all words that one might use to describe chef Thiago Silva, a food innovator who has just brought us the next cronut. Except, unlike the cronut (which was all high-class and too snooty for its own good), Silva’s newest concoction, a glazed donut stuffed to the brim with a cinnamon bun (yes, a whole cinnamon bun!) is something the entire nation–maybe the entire world?–can enjoy.
First We Feast reports that the donuts (which look so adorable and innocent above) are a huge seller at Catch in New York City. Silva’s no longer there, but his legacy lives on in the form of the world’s most delicious-looking dessert. Check out a video of the chef ripping open the average-looking donut to reveal some moist and velvety cinnamon magic inside.
