Divers off the coast of Gansbaai, South Africa, caught this close call with a Great White Shark on camera while immersed in a shark cage, which I guess was the entire point of the exercise, but does not make it any less terrifying. The speed with which the shark comes at the cage makes it clear that had there not been a metal enclosure separating man and shark, these guys would have been shark food before they even knew what was happening. Not to mention what would have happened had any of their appendages been closer to the opening in the cage.
Despite the death-defying experience, the two guys in the video have a drastically different reaction to almost getting eaten by a shark than you or I might have. All in a day’s adventuring for a couple of thrill-seeking bros!
