Yesterday, heaven descended upon the people of Australia and chaos ensued. In-N-Out, everyone’s favorite west coast burger spot, opened a pop-up store in Sydney and people went a little nuts.
The pop-up’s arrival was announced just 24-hours before doors opened, and so people flocked en masse to get their hands on their favorite greasy meat sandwich. One person tweeted a video of the line, which appears to wrap around an entire city block.

Keep in mind it’s the dead of summer in the Southern Hemisphere. There’s nothing quite like a steaming hot cheeseburger to alleviate your pesky swamp-ass after waiting in line for six hours! Yum!

They’re obviously just bitter they couldn’t get through the door before all the delicious meat and buns sold out. We can’t really blame them. However, we would like to point out that at least Sydney is getting a pop-up In-N-Out. East Coasters here in the United States are still waiting impatiently for our Double Doubles to arrive.
We get it In-N-Out, you thoroughly enjoy the thrill of the chase – but share the wealth, will ya? Your east coast competition might have just introduced a chicken sandwich, but a chicken sandwich ain’t sh*t if it can’t be animal style.
As for the question of why In-N-Out would do this — other than “because they can” — perhaps the notoriously guarded owners are trying to prove worldwide demand to potential franchisees?Are In-N-Out’s days of cool-kid scarcity numbered? Maybe the whole company is going global?
Or it could be that they just want Aussies to make In-N-Out Burger a mandatory stop when they visit the western United States. Time will tell…
