Halloween is upon us. It’s a time for too much candy, dressing up on the cheap, and the best halloween attractions you can find. But sometimes it’s about water torture, facing your deepest fears, and crying. So much crying. As the You’re the Worst gang figured out in their Halloween Sunday Funday episode, intense Halloween haunts can be fun for the few human beings who adore being utterly terrified. And if that’s your jam, look no further than McKamey Manor, a haunted house that just might take it too far.
This isn’t one of those haunted houses you went to when you were little, where there’s no touching and all the workers look more bored than you. If you’re willing to make the trip to San Diego for this stop, you might be more demented than the people working there. Be prepared to sign a lengthy waiver in order to live out all of the Saw movies, but somehow worse because you don’t get the sweet release of death. If you’re like me, you’d rather stay home and watch all the good Scream movies and leave the nightmares for sleeping. But would you live out your worst nightmare?
