This might be breaking news to you, but it turns out that the world’s hottest pepper is actually quite hot.
In preparation for his second season hosting the First We Feast web offering Hot Ones, Sean Evans has paired up with Danish mouth heat enthusiast Chili Klaus to… well, f*ck their mouths up with the world’s hottest pepper. Yup, these two dudes elected to put Smokin’ Ed’s Carolina Reaper pepper in their faceholes of their own free will. Here’s how this culinary danger is described on Smokin’ Ed’s official website:

Essentially, our pals Sean and Chili Klaus are volunteering to engage in something that sounds like it was pulled from a Saw blooper reel. Despite their best efforts (and lack of wax ingenuity) these guys get their asses completely kicked by the Carolina Reaper. The kindest way to describe their bout with supreme heat is to say that they survived.
This clip is a marvelous way to enjoy seeing grown men reduced to wincing, burping, teary-end messes without having to hang out with your step dad during college football season. Pray for their mouths.
