No One Wants To Live In The ‘Silence Of The Lambs’ House

Back in August, we told you that Buffalo Bill’s lotion-shack from The Silence of the Lambs was up for sale. Due to a slower market, however, the Fayette, Pennsylvania, couple trying to unload the house have since lowered the asking price from $300,000 to $250,000. Scott and Barbara Lloyd claim it hasn’t been bought yet because the location is an hour away from Pittsburgh, and there’s only one bathroom for four bedrooms. But it has nothing to do with the rotting corpses in the basement.

Those are free!

It was the second-most clicked home on realtor.com in 2015, so why won’t it sell?

“The fact that a home gets a ton of publicity doesn’t necessarily add up to a quick sale,” said Erik Gunther, a senior editor and unique home expert at Realtor.com. “Just because I want to gawk at something doesn’t mean I want to buy it.” (Via triblive.com)

The Lloyds, who have owned the house since 1976, are quick to point out that only their foyer and dining room appeared in The Silence of the Lambs, and that there’s no creepy dungeon in the basement. See, that’s the problem with America these days: Not enough creepy dungeons in homes.
