Those of us who prefer to shamelessly step inside McDonald’s rather than ordering our McNuggets at the drive-thru, just got some good news. There’s a 6,500-square-foot high-tech Micky D’s coming, and it’ll be full to the brim with french fries.

McDonald’s franchise owner Chris Habiger knows what the people want, and he’s giving it to them. Habiger and his wife Karri are constructing their sixth Mickey D’s in St. Joseph, Missouri, and they plan on fast-forwarding us to the future with some favorable improvements. Once the restaurant opens up in July, diners will have the choice to chow down on all the crispy, golden fries their stomachs can handle. And on top of bottomless fries, Habiger says the futuristic McDonald’s will be equipped with armchairs and couches to slouch on (no one stands in the future). A nice comfy couch is just what one needs after eating french fries by the bucket.

“Today’s customers seek a comfortable and inviting atmosphere,” Habiger told News-Press Now. “So we’re committed to providing a modern look and feel to this restaurant.”

As well as couches and fries, the high-tech McDonald’s will also feature kiosks so diners can order up customizable buns-and-bacon-only burgers. “There really are hundreds of different choices to build the burger of your dreams,” the visionary added. “Once you’ve placed your order, you can find your seat because we’ll bring it out to you.”

What the what? Table service at McDonald’s and unlimited fries? The Burger Wars just got real!
