Michael Jordan’s Son Arrested While At Olympic Trials

Marcus Jordan, offspring of some famous guy with the first name Michael, was arrested this past weekend in Omaha, Nebraska. Now you’re probably asking two questions: Why was M.J. arrested? And why the hell was he in Omaha?

The answers are actually simple, really. Marcus was taken into custody early Sunday morning after seen arguing with two females at approximately 2:10 a.m. Sunday outside an Embassy Suites* apparently faded. From there, the story goes he allegedly resisted arrest causing several officers to arrive at the scene to control him. He was taken into Douglas County Correctional Center where he was later released. The University of Central Florida senior (who averaged 14-3-2 last year) was in town to support his high school buddy Conor Dwyer and his training partner, Ryan Locthe, at the Olympic trials. So yeah, there’s that.

Not that it has anything to do with anything in this scenario, this is why I say His Royal Airness’ dominance arose at the perfect time. The tabloids will have fun with this for a few days and go about their business. Now imagine if all this sort of coverage existed during Mike’s rise to world domination. And to think, this bad news happens not even 96 hours after Mike made what many consider his first “great” NBA draft move. Executive Michael can’t win for losing.

* – A rather nice, affordable hotel, too. Just in case you were wondering.
