In three weeks, Lil Wayne is releasing a memoir titled Gone ‘Til November which is centered around his time incarcerated at Riker’s Island. We’ve already heard about the shocking passage regarding Drake sleeping with Lil Wayne’s girlfriend, but that’s not even the head-scratching part of the book. In some new excerpts obtained by Page Six, we learn that Lil Wayne helped marry a gay couple in prison.
Obviously, Weezy F. Baby isn’t a licensed minister, so the marriage doesn’t necessarily hold any weight outside of prison, but it’s one hell of a story. For this ceremony, Wayne and various inmates decorated the halls with toilet paper and held a toast with the finest flavors of Gatorade. “Gatorade is liquid gold in this bitch,” he writes. “Imagine seeing grown-ass men in jail hanging tissue for wedding decorations. AND one of them is Lil Wayne. Crazy.”
Another cool tidbit from the book is about Wayne’s show of choice being American Idol, but he’d gladly accept being alone in his cell whenever Wendy Williams came on. The issues between the two stem from Wendy trying to get Wayne’s music banned on the radio. The Hollygrove native would later rap, “F*ck Wendy Williams, the b*tch look like a dude, Her body look chewed, and her Hair Looks glued” on “Million Dollar Baby.” Later, Williams fire back by attacking his baby mothers on her show and referring to Wayne as a “virus.”
The self-proclaimed “p***y monster” also missed sex, so he attempted to have a woman come see him with no panties on. She was caught, though: “They have extensive-ass searches before you come in here, so they made her put on a pair of boxers because they knew she didn’t have on panties. Damn!”
From the looks of it, Gone ‘Til November will be an entertaining book. It appears that Wayne wasn’t one of those people who tried to stay out of the public’s eye while locked up, but rather make the most of his time. Now, he has memories to share with the world. So, in addition to being a rapper, actor (Baller Blockin’ anyone?), label owner, legend, and so many other terms, Dwayne Carter is now an author.
