It’s National Taco Day; Here’s Where To Score Yourself Some Free Tacos

If you’re a regular to Taco Tuesday festivities around your town, then you might already know that this Tuesday is particularly special. October 4 marks National Taco Day — a day to celebrate all the good things tacos bring about in the world (think: voter registration, hometown appreciation, college credit…tacos are doing good things, people).

Over on Twitter, people are already getting hyped:

And, as always, restaurants are joining in on the festivities with their own special offers. Check out the list below — we won’t blame you if you decide to take the day off and do the entire free taco circuit.

Chevy’s Fresh Mex: Customers at the Clifton and Linden, New Jersey locations who finish a 4-pound taco within 30 minutes will be awarded free tacos for one year. Call ahead!

The Taco Truck, Hoboken, Princeton & Morristown NJ; High Line, NY: Buy one Taco Tradicional and get another on the house; take a picture of your tacos and tag @thetacotruck on Instagram for the chance to win a custom taco party.

Chipotle: Considering how much food they’ve been giving away lately, they’ll probably just start throwing tacos at you the second you step inside.

Make sure to keep an eye out on Twitter for more #NationalTacoDay deals. Or, if you’re more of a Support Local Businesses-type person, be sure to hit up your curbside taco truck. They’ll surely appreciate the business. But not as much as you’ll enjoy that taco. Olé!
