It’s fairly well-known common knowledge that Facebook is a desirable and highly sought after place to work, so you’d have to imagine that job candidates go through a pretty rigorous interview process to get their foot in the door. You wouldn’t be wrong, as Facebook’s global head of recruiting Miranda Kalinowski gave a glimpse into their talent acquisition process in a recent interview with Business Insider.
Kalinowski highlighted one question that’s popular among interviewers at Facebook, which she says gives some insight into “what the candidate is truly passionate about” and whether that passion is a good fit for Facebook. It’s definitely not an easy one to come up with off the top of your head — do you think you could answer it?
“On your very best day at work — the day you come home and think you have the best job in the world — what did you do that day?”
If answered honestly, the question should be a “genuine expression of pride and purpose” from the candidate. So, not to brag or anything but this one is pretty easy for me: “Write about the Full House porn parody.” Obviously. Consider my future career with Facebook effectively scored.
