In this day and age, there are lots of places to watch a movie. There are the usual suspects — theaters, planes, the bedroom. And the less common spots, like at the gym, in a VR headset, or even, yes, on the toilet when nature calls.
Notice how nowhere on this list did we say in the back of your Honda Ridgeline, in the woods, on a 10-foot inflatable screen? That’s because until now, you probably didn’t think it was possible. But think again. In this first episode of Features Not Standard, Adam Savage (of Mythbuster’s fame) and his Tested team show how with a little vision, creativity and an uber-flexible sports-utility truck, you can trick-out your pickup, redefine your ride and ultimately, change what the term “drive-in” movie theater means in 2016.
Suffice to say, a portable outdoor movie screen for your car may not come standard, but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible to create when nature actually calls.
