Kanye Compares Himself To Hitler, Gains More Attention For Watch The Throne

Never one to see fire and not play with it a bit, Kanye West, performing at the U.K.’s Big Chill music festival, stirred up a healthy dose of controversy this past weekend. “I walk through the hotel and I walk down the street, and people look at me like I’m f*cking insane, like I’m Hitler,” he said.

Of course, West was naturally treated to a healthy chorus of boos for this display of hubris and complete lack of tact, as he should have been. To call this par for the course totally undermines the ignorance of his statement, especially considering where the words were said. As always, we’ll have to take the good with the bad from Yeezy as we give Watch the Throne its first few spins.

But as we all know, controversy breeds attention, good and bad. With projected sales for Watch the Throne in the range of 400-500k, Yeezy should continue to trek across Europe, likening himself to Rush Limbaugh and Fidel Castro to push it through platinum in no time.
