Twitter Ponders How Awful Things Can Still Get With The Hashtag #Make2016Worse

When we look back upon 2016, it will probably not be remembered as a banner year in the history of mankind. For one thing, we lost countless beloved artists and celebrities, including Prince, David Bowie, Muhammad Ali, Gene Wilder, and Garry Shandling, to name a few. It’s been the year of Donald Trump’s inexplicable rise to political power, securing the Republican nomination for President of the United States of America — although whether or not he actually gets elected is still another matter entirely. Global warming has been in full swing, as 2016 has been one of the hottest years on record, with July being the single hottest month in recorded history.

2016 has been the year of countless mass shootings, police shootings, terror attacks, natural disasters, the Zika virus, Brexit, Harambe, and so on and so forth. But even after all that, can things get even worse in the last four months? Sure they can! As such, the hashtag #Make2016Worse is currently trending on Twitter, as users attempt to conceive how things can possibly go downhill from here.

Brace yourselves for some of the most nightmare-inducing ways we can close out this godforsaken year. And hey, maybe this doesn’t make 2016 look so bad, after all.
