Well, CM Punk’s pro MMA debut at UFC 203 went about as expected. He was immediately taken to the ground and submitted to a rear naked choke halfway into round one. But still, like he said, he tried and he had the time of his life so all was not lost. Obviously, Punk has his detractors, both from the MMA world and the wrestling world he left behind to chase his dream. While stepping into the octagon at all is admirable, and he earned a ton of respect for seeing it through, the Internet is still, always, going to get their jokes off.
