The Internet Is Roasting Joe Budden For Hating On Lil Yachty’s Happiness

Joe Budden vs. Lil Yachty is one of the more inexplicable beefs of 2017. It all began a little while back when Budden went on his Complex show Everyday Struggle and said, “I don’t think that Yachty is hip-hop.” Then he attacked the cover of Lil Boat’s upcoming album Teenage Emotions for including a gay couple kissing. “When you’re not Hip Hop and you’re trying to troll or exploit, you get things like this album cover,” he said. “Which is to draw attention to music that’s not drawing attention.”

On Tuesday, Yachty appeared on Budden’s show where the two seemingly hashed out their conflicting views on life.

“I don’t care about the business part, I care how Yachty feels,” Budden said at one point. Yachty responded saying, “I feel happy every day…because life is moving in such a positive way I can’t get slowed down.” That answer set Budden off who immediately declared, “That is a very media-trained answer.” Adding, “Let me tell you about how humans are. Feelings are fickle. What that means is they come and they go. Nobody is one thing forever. You cannot tell me, you would be lying to tell me as a young man…in this industry, in this music industry, in the music business, you are happy 24/7.”

Naturally, people on the Internet had a field day with Budden attacking Yachty over his positive outlook on life and the concept of happiness in general.
