Frank Ocean has shared a new version of his loosie “Biking,” the track that originally came with feature verses from both Tyler, The Creator and Jay Z. The new version cuts those features in exchange for a few more verses from Frank. It’s also been appropriate retitled to “Biking (Solo).”
Eagle-eared listeners might recognize the new track as one that he debuted during an episode of his Apple Music show Blonded Radio — the same episode where he premeired his ASAP Rocky collaboration “RAF.” But today marks the first time that the track is available to listen to on its own. That’s good news for people who don’t like to scan and also Brad Pitt. Give it a listen up top.
While Ocean’s output has been rather steady in the last few months, his planned tour has been anything but. The singer has had to pull out of two headlining slots at Sasquatch! and Hangout, citing production delays. In those instances, Ocean is being replaced by LCD Soundsystem and Phoenix, respectively. While both bands appear to have excellent new albums on the way, it won’t be the same as hearing the long-dormant singer emerge to perform “Solo” and “Biking (Solo)” live.
