Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter opens next Friday, and we finally have three clips to go with the trailers from earlier this year. Directed by Timur Bekmambetov (Night Watch, Wanted) and produced by Tim Burton, the film is based on the alt-history fantasy novel by Seth Grahame-Smith. What it presupposes is, what if vampires killed Abraham Lincoln’s mother, and he avenged her death with a magic axe? Wait, you mean that isn’t how it happened? Damn it, public schools, you’ve failed me again.
The first clip shows Lincoln (Ben Walker) and Will Johnson (Anthony Mackie) being sick of all these mother-killing vampires on this Monday to Friday train. In the second clip, the head vampire (Rufus Sewell) sicks twenty vampires on Lincoln, and the third clip shows Lincoln busting a vampire pharmacist who’s making vampire sunscreen. Sidenote: we totally need one of those trapdoors at the drugstore. Then if someone starts yelling because their insurance company sucks, I can trapdoor myself into the vodka room. (Every pharmacy has a vodka room, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.)
